Adverbs are used to modify an adjective, a verb, and/or another adverb. Some adverbs can also be other part of speech, such as adjective, even conjunctions.
Different from nouns which need one conjunction at the very end, adverbs and prepositions do not need one. Therefore I call them “dual, triple” adverbs. Often time adverb can be the object of the preposition to form an adverbial phrase.
It is not uncommon to start a sentence with an adverb such as “nunca, ya, bastante, quizá, entonces, siempre, también, además, and tampoco”
Adverb is a very friendly part of speech, it gets along with verb, adjective, preposition, noun, pronoun, interrogative word, even another adverb. A list of prepositional phrases with an adverb are presented in this book for your convenience.
